Mr. Chan brings a unique blend of technical and financial expertise, holding a Mechanical Engineering degree from UBC and completing the prestigious Graduate Diploma in Management of Technology through SFU's MBA program. His 22-year career spans both engineering and financial services, combining technical acumen with deep financial expertise in insurance and structured solutions. As founder and President of Prominence Financial Inc. and Prominence Insurance Services Inc., he has built and leads a comprehensive financial services group with operations across Canada. Under the Prominence Insurance banner, PFI focuses on financial planning and life insurance products, while PI specializes in P&C general insurance. His experience includes successful fund raising initiatives, complex project financing, and structuring innovative partnership models including GP/LP structures, joint ventures, and real estate project management. Chan holds dual citizenship (Hong Kong/Canada) and maintains strong connections with major financial institutions and strategic partners across North America and Asia.
